The fauna of Charipinae from Madeira and Portugal (mainland) is studied here. The validity of the five species previously cited from Madeira is discussed: Alloxysta brevis (Thomson, 1862), A. pedestris (Curtis, 1838), A. minuta (Hartig, 1840), A. victrix
