Abstract:
Keys to the species of hagfishes, chimaeras, sharks and batoid fishes ocurring in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, from northern Norway until South Africa, including the Mediterranean and Black Seas are presented. The western limit adopted is an arbitrary line roughly following the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. A total of 257 species and 49 families are presente in the área. For each species a small distribution map is given.
