Resumo:	Ten decapod crustacean species belonging to the families Oplophoridae, Nematocarcinidae, Hippolytidae, Pandalidae, Epialtidae, Inachidae and Majidae are recorded for the first time from the Archipelago of Madeira. The family Nematocarcinidae, represented by Nematocarcinus gracilis, is recorded for the first time from the study area.
